In dry condtions I find the Hope organic pads are superb for my Tech M4's, but they are absolutely abysmal in wet conditions on the back.

I run a 203mm disc up front and 183mm disc on the rear of my Five and while there's a bit of a power loss up front in the wet the brake still works. On the rear though there's next to no braking power and that's through trying several sets of pads just to rule out contamination or a bad batch.

I'm a bit nervous about trying organic pads because in the past I've found them to offer pretty poor braking power regardless - although that was on an XC4 years ago!

So what pads do people find work well in the wet, particularly for more aggressive riding and DH?

Thanks

For UK riding go sintered - they will be fine 100%.

For long *dry* alps trails stick with organic (if wet go sintered)

I run Hope's own sintered pads in an E4 brakes. Never let me down yet. Not as much bite as organics but predictable, consistent in the wet and last ages.
