Picked up a pair of Hope's for the bike (brand new) last year based on my initial use on an older downhill bike and their incredible power. From day one they were never that great on my current bike though and whilst they do their job, have never felt 'amazing', the way people hype them to be.
I put this down to maybe a contaminated disc or pads issue.
Anyway, last ride they jammed on. Managed to push the pistons back in (so they do move) and rode back to the car. Jammed on again. At home have since pushed the pistons almost out, cleaned properly and lightly greased. All seemed fine but then a few squeezes on the leaver and it's jammed again.
Any ideas before I start buying random parts I might not need? Much appreciated ๐
Is the calliper fitted low enough to avoid a lip on the pads ?
Or just some air in the system
Have done a bleed but doesn't seem to be causing the issue. Maybe a stupid question but not sure what is meant by avoiding a lip on the pads? The caliper is aligned perfect, just suddenly when the pistons touch the disk they no longer retract ๐
