Building up some Pro II's but can't decide on which Freeride/Downhill rims to go for. Love the idea of Nukeproof Generator but think I've been bought by branding so what else is there that I'm not gonna wreck first time I ride it with my immense skill..... 🙄

^ what he said, mavic ex721's - job done. Make sure you get them built up by a good wheel builder though as the quality of build just as important as the choice of rim.
Or 729s, if you favour a wider rubber (they look nicer too IMO)
superstar dh rims. the Southern DH team were racing on them last season.
Plenty of people riding dh on flows. So a hope hoop sounds spot on plus it ticks the important build quality box as well.
721s can be had on Hope Hoops can't they? I got a pair 2nd hand. Really like them and they take Maxxis 2.5 tyres no problems.
