Hi all...
Am in process of replacing my xt discs to hope. Will be using the same size of 180mm front and rear and am keeping the xt caliper .....Question is, is it a straight swap or will there be problems....any advice will be helpful before i order them.
regards
Martin
Whatever brakes do you have?
Should be a straight swap, maybe a little realigning of the calipers
I have had to file down the adaptors to fit hope floating rotors in the past, the rivets can catch
Reason I ask is as above if you don't have hope brakes i wouldn't bother, rivets often catch on other adaptors and callipers.
Which Hope discs are you going for?
The Sawtooth Floating disc rivets can catch some calipers and adaptors, the newer design full of small holes has the rivets much closer to the centre so clears. The standard solid ones are just a fancy disc.
