I'm trying to remove the floodgate cap on my 2010 Revs, and I've knackered the set screw somehow, the 1.5mm hex key is just going round and round, how can I get it out?
Ian
Only thing I can think of is that if it's the key that's spinning (not the bolt) to hacksaw it into a flathead screw bolt. Only really works if there's adequate room to fit a hacksaw blade without damaging the rest of the post too much. Not sure what to do if the bolt is spinning...
could have been overtightened and stripped the thread so it now won't unscrew.
super glue the hex key into the bolt head and try and lift as you turn.
edit: you sure it's not the hex key turning inside the screw? sometimes a slightly larger torx key will fit a badly damaged hex fitting.
I think you're right wwaswas, the hex key is turning in the screw,I'll try and find a tiny torx.

Managed to get it out with a torx driver.
