Ok, so about to get a reverb.
I'd ideally like a 100mm drop but they're not available in 380mm length. So that would mean getting a 420mm post which would mean a pretty big insert into my frame. Or do I get the 380mm length with the 125mm drop which would put the nut close'ish to the seat clamp but have the right amount of post in the frame. I know both will work I just can't decide which to go for.

I have similar measurements and went for a 125 drop 380 one. I don't have it yet though. I will be expecting about 20cm out the frame and 18 in, so seemed best option.
I'll be watching responses with interest too 😛
i just measured my seatpost i had in already. which gave me the length, then measured how much was sticking out, which gave me the drop i wanted.
i got 380 and a 125 drop. ( i had well over that sticking out )
