[#1094768]

Want to move to a nutted axel on my SS (the QR still slips despite some serious tightening) but i'm struggling to find one that fits.

I'm using Easton XC One wheels and the diameter of a standard shimano skewer is too fat to go though, even though to the naked eye it looks the same as my Easton QR skewer that fits.

Any ideas????

What you need, my friend, is some chaintugs....

One electric drill, one looong drill bit and a very steady hand.... problem solved.

What's the OLN dimension? I bought a cro mo replacement axle for my Suzue rear tandem hub from George Longstaff. Might be a bit long for an MTB as tandems are usually 145mm OLN. That tandem doesn't live with me so I can't measure it for you now.

Give Longstaff's a bell. I wouldn't buy anything other than cro mo though as you're likely to bend it which is why I needed a replacement in the first place (albeit on a tandem).
