How many of you use the same helmet for MTB and road? My current helmet (IXS trail xc) is looking quite scuffed so thinking about replacing it. Not a fan of bulky low back helmets so looking at the xc/light trail ranges but never had a road specific helmet.
Looking at either another IXS trail xc, or something else.
I have a kask helmet for road and I am pleased with it. In the PSA thread someone was doing them for crazy low prices
I too have a shiny new Kask which cost £15 iirc.. Best helmet for cooling I've ever had. Very comfy.

I don't mind an MTB helmet on the commute or gravelly or road - still get a nice peak to keep the sun and rain off my face.
One thing to watch out for is models with a big scoopy visor will catch the air at speed and try to tilt the helmet back. I removed it from my MET Terranova for gravel use.
