Ive got a cane creek headset in my gary fisher roscoe 3.I need to replace the bottom bearings.. the last time i had them replaced it was at my lbs. I went onto the cane creek headset finder and it came up with the following:

SHIS:56 - 1.5" Zero Stack ZS Standard

Now ive had a look online and seen several that fit the bill.. Am i right in saying that the 2 following sets are the same measurements but just different materials in each..

The steel ones are £12 and the stainless are £27. Are the stainless that much better?

Last time I bought Cane Creek bearings it was cheaper to a new headset from CRC and swap bearings that way

Superstar bearings are fine, pop the seals off and fill full of grease before you fit them. Clean and regrease them a couple of times a year or just replace when muck gets in and finally knackers them.
