anyone know where to get pistons for hayes nine brake calipers found some listed for hfx but dosent mention the nines, just broke peg out of middle trying to free them off cheers

They sell them at CRC for £10 each!
I did the same thing got a whole new replacement brake for £39!

The brakes you have are the same as HFX as they used to be called HFX 9. A tip to take them out is to pump the lever with a small spanner in between the pistons to ensure they come out equally. Once the pistons are equal distances out remove the spanner and carry on pumping the lever. If one piston comes out first then at least you have room to grab the other. I split the caliper by undoing the fixing bolts to do the last piston and watch for the little transfer port O ring. You will get new seals in the kit so replace these before installing the new pistons. Removal of these is done with a small pick and be carefull not to scratch the piston chamber. Then put back together and re-bleed. If you have not got a hayes bleed kit get one. Other than that buy a new brake system.

cheers for the info managed to get them out today just need the new ones
