I get a pain in my hamstring when on the Turbo, but not on the same bike when riding outside. After that, I can feel a mild "twang" above & behind my knee each revolution. The pain is ease temporarily if I shuffle forward on the saddle.
Any ideas?
sounds bike setup related and you probably naturally move around more, vary cadence, stand up etc when out and about so it doesn't become an issue?
Doesn't sound good, usually that is a sign saddle is too high.
Same shoes too?
Are you sitting in the same spot on the saddle on the turbo as you usually when out? Is your front wheel on a riser and the bike level? Or are you further back on the saddle than usual (front raised too high)?
Could do a quick non scientific test, pedal at high cadence backwards with little resistance - are your hips rocking?
Exactly the same kit, yes I'm using a riser - the same as provided with the Turbo so it should "match" (Minoura). In terms of position I'm not changing it, just sitting "naturally" so don't think there's a change.
I'll try the non scientific test and report back, thanks. The saddle doesn't change from indoor to out, but I'll check the height vs my standard measurements.
