With the current forecast how will GT be tomorrow?

More concerned with the country roads from Glasgow than the trails themself

The drive should be fine. I was thinking of heading down myself, but it looks like it's going to be biblical!

It was pretty ****ing horrible tonight ๐Ÿ™‚ Trails were wet but fine (but with the closures on the red, it's either Pie Run or fire road, and I've never found Pie Run skitier than it was tonight (even with ice down). Great fun mind.

Tuesday night was pretty minging at GT.
None of my mates turned up and I had to do the Red on my own in the dark.
The scariest bit was going through the Pie Run when some Forestry Machinery started up in the woods next to me, which seemed strange as it was 8.00pm. It might have been a UFO but I didn't hang around to find out.
I guess GT is going to be even muddier after the rain and flooding we had last night.

I am still miffed that when I asked a similar question a few weeks ago I got absolutely slated!! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I was planning on a Saturday morning visit but the forecast 4-5 inches of rain on higher ground may scupper my plans.

they really aren't country roads tho are they?

but if B roads scare you, there's always the M8, city bypass and A703

It was already pretty wet last week and there was some decent sized puddles on the road on Sat morning.

More to do with me travelling a fair distance to find the roads impassible due to flooding.

Seem to remember there being lots of potential in the pass when i've been through that way in the pass.

Only road thats ever scared us is the pass to applecross - not fun in a van

Well, the roads were VERY wet last Saturday and there's been a lot of rain today with more forecast tomorrow. As above, going via Edinburgh might be a better bet.

Seeing the news I think it was a wise idea to avoid the Borders and D&G today
