I posted this ( http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/peak-night-rides-mon-wed-thurs) the other day, might help? + I could easily be swayed to join ya for some mid-week day time rides if you too can get away? I'm spending my entire days 'meeting' essential criterion ๐Ÿ˜•

Yea sounds good, Every other week I get Tuesday n Thursday off so could arrange a ride. Maybe some night rides would be good as I'm only 10 mins from hayfield. Thinking of starting a mtb club and looking to bulid a website at the moment. There must be plenty of riders around this area.

There seems to be a surprising lack of MTB club info for the Peaks doesnt there? I'm sure your website/club idea would be popular.

Also +1 for doodlebug's recommendation. Fab events!

But in the meantime.....

The club I belong to is officially a Nottingham one but we lead rides in the Peaks most weekends. Why don't you give us a try?

We're doing a ride in the Peak this weekend. Check out the panel on the right hand side of the page.

Posted it on the other thread, but Hayfield Hub, Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm, The Royal Hotel, which is right in the middle of Hayfield and has a big car park. They have a Facebook group page as well.

There are loads of riders locally - Hayfield, Glossop, New Mills, Chinley, Marple etc - I think a lot of us just ride informally with mates though.

Hi Scott, I'm probably not much more than a mile from you, I live between Whaley Bridge and Chapel. Email in profile if you fancy sorting something out.

Dark and White events are doing an mtb marathon from Chapel Highschool / leisure centre on the 20th of Nov. 45 and 61km routes, missed the spring one but I think the format is your given a map with checkpoints to visit. Details on www.darkandwhite.co.uk

They also do a well attended (200ish riders at the Grindleford round last weekend) and ridiculously competitive mountain bike orienteering series. Most events are within 30mins of Chapel. Next one is Birchover in early December.

18bikes in Hope are thinking about doing a regular tuesday ride - so say's their facebook page.
