Hi all

Got a week in Grasmere planned next week and looking to get some riding in. Any 20-30 miles routes that aren't overly techy (only just got back into MTB!)

Thanks in advance

Over red bank into langdale/Elterwater hed to tilberthwaite and the world's your lobster for low level bridleways from Coniston, through grizedale to claife

I hope this works. It’s a great area for not to tech cycling. Loughrigg terrace might count as tech? But if it is it’s only a short section. It being busy with walkers is more of an issue. The route could easily be extended to include Claife Heights or that could be another day. Enjoy your holiday

stopadoodle loughrigg ride is brilliant.. 4 or 5 perfect descents. although, some steeper bits, so may not be ideal.

Ampthill's route is a decent one. Loughrigg has a couple of little rocky sections, but all rollable. It won't be a problem because there will be too many walkers to get any speed up!

Same sort of thing here. There are quite a few choices. It's all good and not particularly technical - rideable on a tandem!

And this is a bit longer (at least by the time you add in Grasmere) with a few more wiggles.

most of the decents in that vid above are way to overgrown at the moment, they are still rideable but no where near as much fun as normal.
this year seeems to have been a really good(or bad) year for bracken growth.
