GPX files are a pain to work with..... How to join two?

[#12858751]

Say I had 2 GPX files, one's a line that goes from home to a town, the other is a loop starting from the end of the first line...

What would you use to join them together to make 1 long lollipop route?

I use OSMandMaps on my phone / ipad which I think will do it but I really want to do it on a proper computer, using a mouse so I can tweak bits around easily.

Is there something online I can do it with? Ride With GPS might do it I think, but I don't want to pay for another subscription. OS Maps doesn't let you join 2 together.

Cheers!

https://gotoes.org/strava/Combine_GPX_TCX_FIT_Files.php

Ignore the "strava" aspect; pretty sure it'l do what you want

Can you just redraw it at https://www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php

Always my go to for drawing/creating gpx routes

Open them both in a text editor then cut and paste the relevant bits together?

This, assuming you don't actually want to change the routes at all.

Join them using a text editor, open them in whatever mapping software you normally use and edit as normal then.

Thanks. Scotroutes first suggestion has done the job, I forget that I have basecamp. Routes tweaked, joined and I can now split them back in to 3.

And then I'll export them in to OS Maps for a final sanity check before trying to follow them 🙂

I do usually just redraw stuff but it's 300km in Kent, so isn't as straight forward as what I usually play with.
