5 months of fat is a hard habit to break and the last few rides on the thin bike have been apocalyptically bad

And so it was I started Friday's fireroady-double-tracky ride-in thinking what parts I could take off the thin bike and put on the fatbike. First technical corner was something of a surprise in that I didn't immediately lose the front/rear/both ends in fact the thin tyres dug in and I more or less went where I intended. A few more metres and a few more corners and something clicked and the rest of the ride was basically BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPP just like the old days

Next day I rode the fatty on more or less the same route and the difference was crystal clear

Fat bike: better on non-technical stuff
Thin bike: better on technical stuff

As you were

Amazing isn't it ๐Ÿ˜‰ It's as if there is more to grip and cornering than the tyre...
