you missed this:

wwww.brightyellowstar.com

i also consult for Suunto, the Malaysian and Singapore Olympic Federations, the ITU, two free clinics in Ha Noi, one free clinic in Sai Gon and one Vietnamese-based NGO.

ask your mate in VSO in HCMC what sort of cars the administrators drive and why they need them when they can buy cheaper elsewhere. ask about the salaries and 'packages' offered to their management teams. ask about their accommodation with swimming pools in an phu (the HCMC expat enclave). ask if their programs are externally audited by a non-vietnamese based body. ask about program effectiveness audits. remember, VSO is meant to be about giving... and not to yourself

ask the lao cycling federation what happened to the funding promised to cycling team members and team administrators during the sea games. ask who funded the UCI coaching course prior to the sea games. ask what's happening to the vientiane based facility built by the chinese on the promise it would be funded by the federation. ask where their sports doctors are. ask why there is no team kit or sponsorship to races outwith laos.

anything else i can help you with?

If that's so why on earth do you waste your time trolling on here, surely you have better things to do.

ro clearly you are a grown man, intelligent, well read, etc. Why are you behaving like a stroppy 12 year old kid. You should be ashamed of yourself.

because he thinks he's a better person than you or I and can't handle the rejection?

Perhaps the thread should have been titled Golly, I need help rather than Golly, I need your help.

It is curious why someone clearly superior to everyone on here spends so much time here.

I often wonder that one, Al. I put it down to you being charitable and wishing to educate us, the great unwashed masses.

and it's rather getting in the way of any message about stw members contributing to the social good you're trying to put across, tbh.

I'd like to add:

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING?! That'll be another quaternary service industry we didn't know we needed until some creative type with an Apple laptop invented it! How I've lived without social media marketing I'll never know.
How empty I am.

I'm bored and it amuses me. 8)

For the record, I agree with some of the things you say - just not the way you say it... And yes, you are an ugly bugger.

social media marketing is totally weird. but people pay, i get interesting contacts, and it gives me the opportunity to do the stuff i enjoy for free. like medicine. and athletics stuff. which pay nothing out here.

Now, if I was posting links to my business, and that business was social media, I might think about how I'm portraying myself to both existing and future clients. Particularly if the link was on a site that has massive google rankings.

I would be surprised if these pages are on the first google results page within 24 hours for a for http://brightyellowstar.com/Home/Home.html

for someone in social media you do seem determined to be as anti-social as possible on here and it will 'leak' out to the wider internet if people do even the most basic of searches on you.

just my 2p.

I've often thought my charitable work was hampered by having a Chief Exec who seems unwilling to alienate, insult and patronise people.

"Ro"

What a peculiar name. Is it some way of making "Robert" or "Roderick" more bearable?

Ro, for someone who's asking for help you seem to be doing it in a rather odd way. I don't know if it's that you've been surrounded by corruption for too long, or whether your just an arse (as suggested by many), but you really should try to remember your manners.

I don't know how often you get back to the UK, but here we are constantly bombarded by sob-stories and offers to improve the lives of those worse off than ourselves. If I gave "just £2 a month" to every charity that asked for it on the TV I'd have F-all left at the end of the month to pay my bills or feed my own family! In order to cope we have to develop a thick skin to it all, this (along with your previous posts) is why we don't seem to give much of a shit about it, If you want us to care (which you obviously do as you started this thread) you need to persuade us to care, if that's too much hassle for you then it can't be that important!!

(This is just my opinion)

rule one of internet marketing: there is no such thing as bad publicity. you just have to spin it.

rule two of internet marketing: seek publicity where you can.

but you're right. i'm an idiot. 🙂

It is common to see Facebook page which haven't been updated or written only when someone on the marketing team has time. This isn't social media...

you're quite right to keep your money in your pocket. i can't HONESTLY think of any charity/NGO in asia i've seen that doesn't in some way contribute - albeit indirectly - to corruption at some level. sad, but that's the way it goes.

which is why i said 'send stuff'. stuff that has virtually no value but to the end user.

not my fault you didn't listen. think for yourselves. you can surely differentiate between a rant and an appeal, can't you?

I don't often post on here, but this has got me laughing. A doctor (I thought all doctors were quite mature, well educated etc etc) behaving like a 5 year old when he gets a hard time.

I suspect R O is not a doctor, but some kid who hasn't been given a new bike for their birthday.

Where can I send my spares box?
