I finally got the Big Dog, with 35s. I like them set up with low pressure, and they hardly budge on full lockout; but when I drop down long steep tracks they blow right through the travel and stay there, till I crash....... Obviously I've got them set up too soft, but if I added tokens would that ramp up the pressure enough for me to run them initially softer but stop them almost bottoming out?
Would it help? I know it's a pretty basic fork and that I can fit no more than two 32mm tokens; but unlike what others have experienced mine seem very smooth with soft damping. From what I've gleaned they're also a bit lighter than folks have said.

Tokens will ramp the spring rate up towards the end and as long as you aren’t running ludicrously soft they should stop
bottom out.

If the forks are packing down as you go down trails you might be running too much rebound damping. Maybe speed that up a bit so they return to fully extended quicker.

You mean compression damping I think, but that isn't a problem.

I'd give them a few hours/hundred miles to bed in, I found they loosened up quite a bit which meant they needed more pressure as the friction stops them sagging accurately. For now, maybe set them to a pressure that feels right on the trail even if it gives less sag in the car park?
