That's the beauty of #3 for me. Yes, it's a bit of an in-joke, but it also just works as a quirky design. At Christmas I got a Howies t-shirt with a whale being carried in some kind of sling by a load of bikes. I have no idea what it means, nor does aybody I know, but I still like it.

@jjprestidge as a newcomer my sense is it’s a bit like when somebody asks if a headset comes with a crown race - a perfectly reasonable question in my mind (errr because I had it in my mind the other week but decided not to ask!)...

I like to under-promise and over-deliver, so 'No'.
Anyway, it looks like #3 is the winner.
I'll refine the sketch and font and I think sketch the little logos to match and get the final design all set up.
I haven't worked out how best to take orders, but I reckon either I'll do it all by Private Message and PayPal, or I'll set up a quick shop using ecwid.com
It'll all be at cost price. I'll make sure I don't lose money, but then if there's anything left over it'll go to Mountain Rescue.
I can't see there being any options other than size.
While I can see the appeal of a tech tee, I've had problems with peeling print before and want to keep things simple. It'll probably be a Gildan Premium Cotton tee. They are heavy duty, cheap and print really nicely. I quite like the idea of dark blue blueprint style, but then black is probably more universally appealing. I'll try them out.
Next step. I'll post up the final design.
