Other trail centres like glentress have a voluntary car parking fee to help maintain the trail, i know a lot of people who don't go to the dig days (my self included) for whatever reason but would like to help keep the trail maintained and wouldn't mind giving a few quid each time they visit.
Just a suggestion as it would be a shame for it to degrade because of lack of funds etc.

When Gisburn is any where near as good as Glentress in 4/5 years time I'll make a donation.
