My Giro Xen's Roc-Lock systems popper towards the front left hand side of the helmet keeps coming undone. On closer inspection you can see the female part of the connection embedded in the helmet side has been damaged. I assume this is not fixable and new lid will be needed sooner rather than later?

ANyone else had same problem?

yes, I've had that problem. Used cable ties to keep it to the side of the helmet- works for a while

Had very similar on a Giro Hex a few years ago, sent it back and it was covered by warranty.

It shouldn't come out, and as its part of the saftey / retention system, would be contacting the shop you got it from.

Warranty +1.

I would'nt glue it. Glue tends to melt polystyrene IME.

This happened to a Hex of mine too. I popped mine into place and wrapped it with insulation tape to prevent it popping out again.

IMO it SHOULD be able to pop out as part of the impact absorbtion system, otherwise it would be rigidly fixed in the first place.

Thanks Everyone,
Unfortunately its a 2008 lid so warranty claim would be out of the question I suppose. Shame, as it was only used once between 2008 and 2011 when I got back into MTB'ing every week.

Will try the cable tie for a while, good idea!
