We're staying for a week soon in northern Italy with an old uni friend. Her husband - called Marco, let's call him Marco Panatone (and whom I've not met) - is apparently really into MTBing and will be taking me around their local trails.
From my earlier visits and being taken out by her brother for a very rapid ride - I know that STW folk would categorise them as "steep gravel" riders, not even XC!
Mr Panatone is quite short and also rides road.
I was hoping to get him some kind of UK gift, up to £50ish. MTB themed suggestions would be much appreciated.
How about some of that pasta that's shaped like wheels?
Singletrack flask w/ whisky of your choice?
APF
If he is small and a roadie he is probably still an xxxl size in Italian cycle clothing. Buy him a UK brand size small and watch him try it on with a bemused look.
Buy him some Nescafé instant coffee. You know how Italians love good coffee. 😉
Waterproof shorts and a marsh guard? Or one of the Rob Warner unt tshirts

Free postage on this item, btw, when no other products are in the basket.

Excellent idea! On that theme maybe a jar of Dolmio as well?
A centrifuge?
A Pompino.
Cathedral city cheese?
Italians love cheese.
fact
And wine.
i would choose ‘red’.
Um... very helpful, chaps.
But more recommendations would be great! 🙂
Super Mario bottles 🙂

Campagnolo Corkscrew
'tis a thing of beauty and a perfect gift...

Last one we bought came in a presentation box
(although quite Italian for a UK gift)
Show 'em how it's done?

Or some fine real ales? Thornbridge deliver cases to Europe. If he's not used to them he might think he has dysentery the day after. But who doesn't want a crate of ale?
A pork pie, fried mars bar, fish and chips and some real ale ?
That should sort him out
Pizza cutter shaped like a bike.
An entry for the StrathPuffer? 🙂
Jar of mud, labelled "Liquid Dust".
