I've bled my juicy brakes many times, using the video on youtube, yet I always have lots of 'empty' travel at the start of the brake pull, therefore i always seem to be verging on pulling the brake lever to the bar, is there a way of adding more fluid into the system?

Could you just pull the lever open and push fluid in via the lever syringe?

cheers

You need to squeeze a bit more in after bleeding the lever.

tried the position adjuster grub screw? all my juicys came like this and needed winding out a bit then were fine, there was a sweet lever spot where they didnt hit the bar, i could reach them fine and power seemed to be best. afaik once hydro levers are pulled past a certain point the reservoir becomes a closed system in effect the total volume of fluid in use cant be increased you're just adding spare fluid.

Warton,
There's a majority of juicy owners who complain about not being able to fit new pads because the pistons won't retract. It's quite likely that they have too much fluid in the system

If yours don't feel spongy, I'd sugest the bite point adjuster, NOT more fluid

(the tip on SRAMs video about "pressurising" the lever at the end of bleeding process is fair enough though - that does seem to firm up the lever feel)

I'm a happy J7 owner for several years. Only bled once (though 2 attempts). I do seem to be one of the lucky ones though

Dont over fill them, it makes pad changes a nightmare and the pads will always rub the rotor.
