I am looking to build a bike that will mainly be for Dalby forest red route. I currently have a Sektor that i will be dropping in and am looking for a suitable frame. I am looking to spend about £600 ish but a little more or preferably a bit less would be fine.
So far I have come across the Titus FTM
and the Orange ST4
Anyone got any opinions on these frames and have any ideas of some other frames that might be suitable for me.
(go steady i've been out of the mountain bike game for quite a while!)
I test rode an orange st4 and it's the only bike I can say I could feel flex. Suffered from chain suck twice as well which seems to be a common thing. There is also something weird about an Orange frame for me in that the longest part of the pedal stroke appear to be in front of my hip and it gives me sore knees. Same result on a 5 and a st4.
I bought a specialized camber and love it. Rides a lot better than the ST4 so I would suggest you have a look at this from the same retailer
