I have a TLD A1 and am suprised how well it fits me; though it's only given as a 60-62 since I usually use a 63 or 64 to get my rather long (front to back) skull in it.
I've just tried a Fox Proframe (which is very nice, but has to go back..) full face that's given up to 64 and there's just no way I'll get my bonce in it.
Do the TLD full face helmets (D2? D3?) size like the A1?
For a full face trying on is key. Some fit me some don't at the same size, all have size charts up but not all will tell you what you need to go.
Yeah I know - my life has been full of this since forever; [s]20[/s] (ahem) 25 or so years ago it was FIS helmets for skiing, then FIA helmets for motor racing (there is actually only one manufacturer who makes a shell that my head will go in and has an FIA approval). It's the bane of my life.
I get the trying on, but the fact is, round here, there aren't any shops with a decent choice (and I mean at least 3 models in a size that's likely to fit me). So I'm back to trying on over the internet, ordering, sending back etc ...

I have a genuinely large head (I'm known as Heed round the lads. I know, I know, the brains) and I fit fine into a Large Bell Super 3R MIPS. Has a detachable face strap too so functions as a normal enduro/xc lid too.
TLD helmets all fit my 63cm elongated cranial monster, I have the A1 and D2. My son also finds the new Fox full face to be a good fit although he's not quite as big as me 😉
