Anyone know if FSA MegaExo BBs are any different to Hollowtech/X-Type ones?

Probably not. It might work but they're not interchangeable by design.

FSA are generally slightly tapered or for a different diameter of spindle so will not work correctly with Shimano or Raceface cranks.
Even if you have an FSA crankset, you still have to get the specific cups to fit the chainset.

Standard MegaExo is compatible with Shimano. Just as well as you'll need to replace it with a generic BB after one wet ride.
