Finally finished my Kinesis Pro6 and went for a 20 mile bimble on sunday (first ride in weeks) and just used some flats with it being my first ride out. Is there a half sized front mud guard thats any good? Bit concerned about toe overlap with a full sized front as i touched the front tyre a few times with my foot. Not sure it was because i was using flats but i have got some shimano spds to go on it.

I get toe overlap on my 59cm Kona Rove (SPDs and mudguards). It's just something I think you may have to get used to and anticipate. IMO short front mudguards are not worth the time to install them.

Try moving your cleats forward half a centimetre. See if that helps. You may want to adjust your saddle up 0.25-0.5 cm well to rotate the ankle slightly. More overlap than that and you will have to be wary. It's one reason why smaller frames have slacker head angles.

I've got that on a small Kaffenback. You just get used to it, it's only ever a problem at really low speeds anyway.

I've got a 52cm CdeF and I get overlap even without guards - as above you get used to it and it's only an issue when going slowly.

I've got a small-ish road bike (53cm maybe?) and replaced the crank with a Sora because Merlin were doing them cheap and it looked better than the cheap square taper one that it came with.....I didn't even consider that a 175 crank arm would be an issue over the original 170, but I went from no toe overlap, to toe overlap.

Sold the original on eBay before I realised.... ๐Ÿ™„

Currently looking at mudguards and all the ones that have decent coverage are only gonna make the overlap even worse. Might get some Topeak Defender R1/R2 guards, although these don't have tons of coverage so don't know how good they will be.

I get toe overlap on my small Pompetamine. It's all well and good saying get used to it but on occasion I was catching the front guard so much that it would rub on the tyre so I'd have to stop to realign it before continuing. Huge PITA, especially on a commute with heavyish traffic where you have to stop/slow very often and (try to) trackstand.

I ended up just cutting my front down, just enough so my toe only rubs the wheel slightly. It is a little bit more splashy but better that than the endless frustration I was suffering.
