Recently gone from 3x10 to 2x10 and bash. I screwed the H limit screw all the way in to stop me shifting into the bash.
Now when I'm in the big cog on the front my chain is rubbing the right hand side of the front derailleur cage when using the mid-range to smallest cogs on the cassette. I should have the full range of gears in this cog, right?
I'm guessing this is something to do with adjusting cable tension rather than limit screws. Can anyone give me suggestions on what I need to fiddle with? many thanks.
Is it rubbing on the left side when you're in the mid-large range on the cassette?
No.
Back off the adjuster/limit screw a bit...you only have to prevent the shifter engaging its third position.
It can be difficult/impossible to prevent the chain rubbing the mech or even the bashguard on the smallest sprocket...just keep persevering a bit longer.
