[#5053629]

Wondered if the collective wisdom of single track can answer a nagging thought in my mind. I have two pairs of revs. A 2009 140mm pair based on the pike fork and a 2010 150mm QR pair with the power bulges. The though I have is can I swap the lowers over to create a 150mm 20mm thru axle pike based Frankenstein fork.

Anyone done this or have any views?

Just do it. It's only a 15min job so not hard to reverse. It'll probably work I reckon, as long as you keep the travel at what the lowers were designed for (spacer in the air cartridge) I think you'll be fine. ๐Ÿ™‚

assuming the stanchions are the same width yes I think so. but as said above you may need to reduce the travel. I think you might need the bushings resized too but it should work.
