I have a Giro Xen at the moment although im sorely tempted to get a Fox Flux helmet. Does anyone know how they compare ventilation wise?

I have a Xen - tried a Flux last year and found it to be hotter, heavier and not as comfy. Also have a Hex which if anything is cooler than the Xen.

I've got a Flux, no problems with overheating, although don't know how it compares to a Xen.

I'm on my second Flux and they are quite hot and heavy by XC lid standards, but not unbearable.

One annoying thing I'm finding with my new one is that the forehead pad doesn't absorb much sweat, so when I crouch or lean forward (e.g. just before trying to bunny hop something) it dribbles a load of sweat down my face. Of course, this may vary depending on how much of a disgusting sweaty biffer you are. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmm having a look about and the durability/ finish on the Flux doesn't seem to be very good!

I've had a Fox Flux for a couple of years or so now and the ventilation is good on the top of your head (where your hair is), but because it's designed to clamp around the head it tends to get hot on your forehead and at the back and as MrA says the pads aren't particularly absorbent

so contrary to the name flux (flow) it doesn't quite flow well enough!

otherwise great helmet, although I might try a Xen next just for a change

My old one wasn't very well treated and did get a few scuffs. It did the job though and most importantly [s]it made me look cool[/s] the fit was flipping excellent. I think people tend to have either a Flux-shaped head or a Zen-shaped head so try one on and then make your decision.

durability hasn't been a problem at all. I use mine daily and treat it badly and the only damage is that the Fox stickers have fallen off the peak.
there's stuff on the web about the straps not being up to scratch, but I've not had a problem and I have one of the early models.
