Hope can sell the genuine part now.

Not exactly... It is not even on the Hope website yet. Word on the street is it would be mid/end of Jan when average pedal pusher will be able to buy it.

Haven't tried these from Ali/e-bay, but seen some comments here and there that seems to be favorable.

Personally I would still wait (and I will to be frank xD )for Hope genuine bit.

Wrong, Hope have been shipping orders since 2nd Jan to dealers so available now.
