The 2004 Talas's have had there day and a service on them is just not worth it. So ladies and gents whats out there these days.?
125mm+. Going on a 456. Got pro2 hubs so am I right in saying a 20mm bolt through option is open.? I need to be able to service them myself and I have got about 300 notes to throw at them.

Any suggestions.?

Given the recent price hikes it may actually be viable getting the fox looked at. 😕

No, I agree. I've not touched fox for a long time. I even made that recommendation through gritted teeth!

For home serviceness, Pikes and the new 20mm Revelations are the best.

I much prefer my Magura Thors to all the Rock Shox I've ever owned, but feel they're more complex inside. Though you'll need to look in there more often. Lighter too. A 2nd hand set will be about £300.

I have Pike 454 Coils and they are great. Only downside, well for you, is i bought mine brand new last July for £284 from Freeborne. Just had a quick look and they are now £494...Ouch! Merlin are doing them for £439 tho.
