I'm a bit biased but they are awesome bikes.
I've ridden many bikes in my time but the FXR is right up there amongst the best. Light enough for XC, climbs well enough for the Welsh hills & decends so well, many people take them to France for the descending.
Get the Curnutt shock over the Fox. It is more expensive but it is 100x better.

my only issue with the foes that i had a go on was tyre clearance, looked pretty narrow even with semi-skinny tyres on. rode grand though.
