Any hints, tips or pointers please on trail conditions - going up for the weekend and looking to head out around Sallowvallets, Wimbury and High Meadow woods.

Basically is it a super wet, muddy, unrideable slide fest?

Thanks for response, does that mean much standing water etc, or just some muddy patches - where's best to avoid?

I would say they are YUK.Freeminers trail and verders is fine.Alot of the enduro course was just puddles and mud no speed in it.
Depends what you are after. That was last Friday.Has pissed it down today.
Most places are going to be crap. After 21 years of it the novelity ways a bit thin.Great area the colours on the trees are lovely.

Sallowvallets was OK last night despite the rain, greasy in places, muddy in the few places where it doesn't drain so well. Wimberry? Tut, tut, Wimberry Slade is a SSSI and out of bounds! High Meadow is pretty greasy at the moment though should dry out a bit (the track to my place in that area had a lot of standing water on it at 07.00 this morning). If you know the trails in that area then you'll know that greasy can mean waaahhaaaaaaaayy!!

I thought the FOD enduro went around Wimberry, don't want to ride where I shouldn't - just following a GPS route from FODMBE website..... ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Enduro went around Wimberry, I helped dig it, we weren't allowed down into the valley which is protected, even though it has been used for races in the past, you will be fine if you follow the Enduro GPS route.

I helped dig it,

And very nice that bit is too ๐Ÿ˜€

we weren't allowed down into the valley

Which was a shame because it's a bugger of a climb back out... ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
