[Closed] Flat mount specific bolts????

Afternoon folks,

Do I need flat mount specific M5 bolts or will a std stainless M5 bolt (in the correct length) work with a washer?

I appreciate you can buy FM specific bolts but they look no different to regular bolts ......

It the bolts are the right size, it shouldn't make any difference. Bolts are bolts, there's nothing magic about them.

That was my thinking but in a (biking) world of over complication that would almost appear too simple an answer .....

The specific ones have a waist at the far end that accepts security clips to ensure the bolts never rattle out.

I just use decent quality M5 bolts though.
