Five Ten Gore-tex boots soles coming off

I bought a pair of Five Ten Gore-tex boots when they were first released in summer '21, so they're approx 2.5 years old and have almost done two winters.

They've been good, they're still in pretty good condition.
However both soles have started to separate from the uppers.
I've been in touch with Adidas and they offered to give me 20% off a new pair plus I get to keep my pair or return them for a new pair.....then the person on the other end of the chat realised they were out of the two year warranty period and withdrew the offer ☹️

So what glue/adhesive to stick the soles back on and get a bit more life out of them?

And when I replace them should I buy more of the same or are there now better alternatives?

Just get a local cobbler to do it. It will cost less than the glue and work better.

When the soles do need replacing, Virbram do a sticky dots sole that offers more grip that 5:10.

I've those shoes, along with the majority of my riding pals - none of us have had the same issue.

Surely three winters?

On mine the outer has spilt on the 'crease' at the top, between the toebox and the laces, but the inner is still waterproof - I've not done anything as the soles are now knackered and worn out.

I'll be buying another pair this year as they're perfect for winter flat pedal riding.

Lancashire Repair Service is currently replacing mine, using the Vibram dotty sole - I'm expecting them back soon, I can report on the quality of the work if you want to.

Yes, please report back with pics, it'll be interesting to see how they turn out.

Timpsons will fix them. Glue and a BFO clamp.

100% this. My Scott gortex sole started coming away. Took it to the cobblers. £7.50 per shoe. He said it was difficult due to the different materials as each one needed a different glue for the best results.

One pot of glue would have been £7.50 or more and although I have a vice it's not a shoe vice.

Shoes live on to fight another day. Great job from the cobbler. I think I'll take him some other shoes now. I've even started following a cobbler on YouTube.

“Barge Adhesive” it’s what the repairers use.
Shoe Goo is a great gash filler but not so much as an adhesive.
