Specialized allez always gets good reviews, similar price. My first road bike was a specilized tricross and I really enjoyed that bike. It was geared really lowly which meant I was able to spin my way up hills past roadies with standard gearing much to their annoyance.
I think modern sora had moved to the same gear shift lever as the rest of the range. When I had it it had a little switch that was difficult to get from the drops.
Thanks both of you - Also looking at planet x carbon and setting up C2W for business - i will be using it to commute but reading the fine detail will cost extra 100 in admin
Nice bike , a friend had one sold it for more than he paid which is a benefit of that brand. It's also a triple with a 28 which could come in handy in the Chilterns.
Only downside if your commuting it'll be race blades, I don't mind them other disagree.

You say that now but first it will be Strava, then a bit of lycra and finally you end up wearing a skin suit.

Soobalias - wasn't the one from Letchworth was it ? if so you beat me to it looked in great nick.
I have looked at the figures and with me administering the C2W scheme and setting the nominal fee £999 works out at circa 600 - so should i be looking at this Carbon Planet x
