I'd have swept the paving slabs at least.

Always photograph a road bike in the big ring at the front, small at the back.

Otherwise, looks lovely.

and the pic appeared first attempt which is unusual ๐Ÿ™‚

[edit] someone will mention slamming your stem soon - don't

Looks like a Rule 8 failure to me... Nice and functional-looking build, how does it ride?

Points duly noted.

It rides really well, really pleased. Weighs 23lb, if that matters.

My only grouse id the BB7s - I thought they would be better than they appear to be. Anyone know if they improve when bedded in for a while?

Nice build, liking the subtle red bits, however I think a silver chainset would have worked very nicely and complemented the brakes/mechs much better than the black one.

tut, tut ๐Ÿ˜‰
Valve/logo alignment
Slammed stem
Big ring, small cog

You'll be burnt like a heretic with that mainy spacers on the headset. I am still recovering from my burns. Neck ache is 'apparently' the done pain of a roadie, although I'll keep my burns thanks.
Looks very nice. As for brakes, I guess they will bed in, in time. Maybe try some sintered pads for more bite?

Looks like I've brought shame on my family. There's only one way out - Pass my service revolver, Carruthers .......

I agree on the chainset - it was a rash cost-based decision. I'd spent much more than I intended by that point. I was hoping for a good second hand silver 105 or Ultegra and then as soon as I'd bought this one used ones started to appear ....

I can't ride with the bars any lower than this, so the stem stays as it is. It's already 'upside down'.

I've just realised, to my even greater shame, that I misunderstood 'slammed' when applied to one's handlebar stem. I thought it meant installed parallel to the ground (or even pointing down). ๐Ÿ˜ณ
