Tonight I did my first ever night ride courtesy of my DX 1200 lumen light. I did a short local ride of about 7 miles on trails i've ridden many times & what a difference when you're riding @ night - woo hoo.
It was fun, it was scary, it was very taxing mentally & the hour went so fast I thought I'd only been out for about 30 mins.
I rode to the highest point in the area which is fairly remote & I could look out over the small town where I live. It was a very strange feeling knowing that I was the only one up there.
One thing I did learn for next time DO NOT wear varifocal glasses when night riding. It's hard enough concentrating where you are going without having stuff going in & out of focus all the time - Lol.
Sorry if I've bored you but I'm so happy I just wanted to share.
It's a different ride altogether,as you say the time goes alot quicker for some reason, enjoy !!! ๐
Good innit.

You weren't. The Others are always nearby. Watching.
It is like finding new trails on your doorstep isn't it?
I did my first one last week. It is fun but I have decided I definately need a helmet light to go with my bar mounted vision 2, oh and you cannot see the dog poo before it is too late!
