The day has finally come, I'm failing at a tubeless conversion (I feel it's the gorilla tape) 3rd set I've done
Back wheel was fine front wasn't despite same tyre and rim
Tubeless ready rims, tubeless tyres, no problem seating the tyre, pumps up to 40psi but an hour later flat
Added stans, did the shake and bake, still wouldn't hold air
Tyre off, peeled off the gorilla, spent an age cleaning glue residue
Re tape as meticulous as I can be (had a rap of stans yellow 9mm yellow over the spoke holes first), tyre pops on a treat, hols pressure for longer, 2 hours later flat (haven't tried sealant)
Previous sets I've done 1 with stans rim strips, 1 tubeless rims
Is it worth pouring sealant in?

Get them up with sealant. Go for a 15 minute ride. Swerve about a bit.

Good chance they will be right after.

Shake and bake is ok if all the elements are good but any whiff of an imperfect bead seal or a porous side wall and it isn't enough ime.

Yes.
Now I know gorilla is cheap, but superstar or tesa is also cheaper than stans and avoids this issue.

Give it a go with sealant again.

What is the tyre anyway? I know you said the front worked, but different batches n'all. Fwiw imo geax/ vittoria, schwalbe, bonty are good. Spesh and conti - like sieves on a leaky day.
