If I'm reading it correctly

Day 1

S1 = [s]New York, New York[/s] 3G into Splash and Dash with horrible uphill fireroad sprint in the middle

S3 = Minch Moor, Kitty Litter, Pro-spacker

S4 = Cresta, Gold & Deerhunter

Day 2

S1 = Zorro into new trail

S2 = Boundary Trail, Revelation, Deliverance

S3 = Ewok Village, Double X, The Bitch, Super Steep

S4 = Ho Chi Minh, Zoom or Bust, Janet's Brae

Not sure of it's name. Drop in to a right hander through a few bushes, slightly off camber and rooty, it's then in a single track trail down through a recently harvested section and traverse over, the traverse is pretty sludgy and will be a real pain come the weekend, hrough some deep plantation ruts onto the fire road. Sprint along the fire road for 50m and then left into a steep chute, turning right over a big ol exposed root, lots more plantation ruts before joining up with the steep stuff.

Aye, you're right. NY, NY starts higher. I'm knackered and struggling to see straight!

The transition between S1 and S2 on Sunday is horrific and it includes Anderson Road! Thank god I'm not in E1!

No idea about most of those trails, but it's going to be great! Would love to take the whole week off and ride everything at least once, but I'll just have to make do with a quick look on Friday

stage 4 top is maybe matador? Just looks to start a bit further south from the top of the push up track

was kinda wishing I'd entered this, but I think a few of these trails in the wet would be pushing my mincing skills a bit.

Looks like it starts on Make or Brake then takes in trails between that and Gold Run.

"Revelation" is what we've been calling Glorious 5 Year Plan. When last I saw it, MC had done something horrible to the surface that made it ride like a slab of clay. I can claim first tyre marks and first crash, they were really very close together 😆

Stage 3, I don't think can be Kitty Litter, it doesn't go that far over. It's either the one from the Classic Enduro or something I don't know.

I'm not even going to try and puzzle out the downhill one, just looks like standard innerleithen enduro- confusing and takes in about 500 different trails on the way down 😆

The map arrived in my inbox last night, (E2). Scary day for me on Saturday it has to be said, but Sunday looks like lots of fun and lots of pedalling, which realistically is more my forte. Good call on getting the tough stuff out of the way on Saturday ! I think my plan will be to ride to survive and keep out of folks way on Saturday and enjoy Sunday to the max.

Northwind: want to chum me on some reconnaissance ? I plan to check out the Caberston stuff on Wednesday night, has been a while since I was last up there sadly. Walking Zorro today and Inners Face on Tuesday night (on foot, as per the regulations Neil !). The rest I know pretty well.

You can buy a fishermans hat with a full head mesh cover 😉 for hanging about in the forest. Tape up any loose clothing to stop them getting up legs/sleeves 😆

For spectating any of the routes on Saturday are good, for day 2 I would say section 7 on stage 2 and section 12 on stage 3 and pretty much all of stage 4.
For the midges I would say Smidge repellent and a midge net just in case.

Looks like a great 2 days riding.......the UKGE at Inners last weekend was superb with best stages I have ridden at an enduro, especially stage 5 but some of these are another level again......Jawburn is gonna be carnage as rode Jawbone a cpl of weeks ago and had forgot how full on it was. I entered the E2 so looking forward to enjoying the stages without turning myself inside out on transitions but flipside is gutted to miss out on riding Prospacker (D1 st3)as its a fantastic trail.

. Why what's wrong with the usual start, apart from having a large tree with my name on it (which is why I always take the chicken run! 🙂

You wont be disappointed... The new line uses the chicken run but it has a strategicly placed tree to catch people out..

Does anyone know for certain whether the end of stage 3 on day 2 is the slightly wiggly trail down to the pond (newer line) or the direct (unrideable in my world) line that's been there a couple of years at least?
Hoping someone has been up there to see which one is taped.
Not gonna get there before the event to find out. Work gets in the road wot !

Oh, and anyone down there tomorrow (Thur) evening and fancy meeting up with a view to looking at Jawburn?
I'm planning on going down from Edinburgh after work and seeing what that looks like and maybe other stuff too.

Did the GT trails today. Surprisingly tame actually though I didn't hit them at race speed. Day 1 is definitely the techy day and day 2 is the all out speed day. Pissing rain just now but it didn't come on until late in the day and the forecast for the rest of the week is good so the trails should hold up.

the squiggly one is the first left after the beeyatch...non? the "direct" one is by the crooked sycamore (??) tree...
