Ellsworth have [s]un-fuglied[/s] changed their frame design and then added a stupidly big brand name on the downtube of their bikes
I think I preferred the nodding donkey design ๐
But are they going to snap any less often?
wow, looks just like a bike - quite a pretty shaped one
... so they've lost their USP
... which, admittedly, was blatant fugliness

Weren't they Horst link before? Seems like a step backwards if so.
snappy snappy - never again.
He old epiphany was a brilliant bike albiet with marmite looks. The new one looks a bit meh, but if it rides as well as the old one then it will still be awesome
+1I think I preferred the nodding donkey design
Did they melt it?
That looks shit.
Have they? Still looks ugly as sin to me.
Whoever designed that logo needs a good shoeing in the car park
It looks alright, but that paint job is horrible.

I'm sure they still have their awful customer service. And the bike is still pretty ugly, to be fair, Just not as ugly.
They seem to have horribly outdated geomeotry too, so there's a USP for you - 69.5 head angle on the 140mm Epiphany, and a DH bike with a 15.3 inch BB height. FIFTEEN POINT THREE. LOOK AT IT
But is it still Aerospace Grade?
TBH I hate that even more than the old Ellsworths, at least they were interesting, and ugly for a reason. I'm just going to assume it rides better than my Dare, because a spacehopper rides better than my Dare did.
They just look like any other bike now.
Does the chainstay/seatstay flex, or is there a pivot concealed under the chainstay protector?
It's still a bike that only a mother could love!
It doesn't look like an Ellsworth, it's not made by Ellsworth (least ways I believe they sold out last year) and, given the massive linkage was always explained as an important part of their suspension's performance it probably won't ride like an Ellsworth (for better or worse).
Other than the name, I don't see how is an Ellsworth.
Looks like something Halfords would sell. Reminded me of one of those Whistle bikes. They've got fuglier, my mother would disown it.
Funny you should say that as Ellsworth are sold in REI stores in the US, which is roughly equivalent to Blacks or Go Outdoors. Not really consistent with the boutiquey image they had here.
looks cheap
awful
Thats a long stem on the Epiphany too.
Holy tyre clearance batman!
That rocker arm looks like it will break if you look at it funny.
Ha! I didn't think it would get that violent a response... I hadn't noticed that stem though; good spot Dark Side.
I used to have an Epiphany. It was a cracking bike. Didn't snap and I'm a fat knacker.
I still have an epiphany - I love it, great bike. It rides well, and I think it looks ok. Better than that new one anyway!!
I used to have a Truth. It was a cracking bike. Snapped and I'm svelte ๐
The DH bike is a shocker. ๐
Nope. Still fugly, different fugly but still fugly.

Don't forget the bottle bosses on the dare!!
Wonder who is going to look at the current crop of (WC proven) carbon DH bikes...
Demo 8
Session 9.9
V10
WLSN
M16
And say 'Nah, I don't fancy any of those, I'll take the unproven one with bottle bosses, please.'
Does it come with a stepladder?
Looks ok to me,..... but then I own a QUAD Marin so my tastes are a little unorthodox anyway. lol
Ellsworth have un-fuglied their bikes
FALSE
Where would you even get an Ellsworth in the UK, if you had missed your appointment at Specsavers and had a strange desire to buy one based on the stunning looks'?
I heard Freeborn dropped the brand some time back due to ongoing "issues"
