Ciao bellas,
So I'm still wondering about going 2x9 - I haven't taken the bike out in so long that nothing's happened on it though. I'm pondering getting a Middleburn Duo, just because, but how does the chainline on that compare to a standard chainset with outer and middle ring?

Depends entirely on the B/B you choose. The sensible thing to do is use a narrower B/B for a better chainline, effectively replicating the inner/middle ring positions on a normal crank.
Otherwise there are no chain line benefits.
