Budget max about 60.. for weekend warrior type rides.. the odd longer day in the saddle.

Very. Got a pair of Deuters and rate them much more highly than Camelbaks.

What he said.

I have one as my main pack. I occasionally use a smaller camelbak for longer rides and its nowhere near as comfy. The Deuter is well made, really, really tough too.

The shape of the main compartment is clever too, as you can stuff your tubes and heavy bits down into the corners so the weight is right down near your hips, and the mesh system keeps it all off your back so theres no sweating.

I really like mine.

I've got a tatty old Race one and its been great. Nice shape to their sacks, light, and like snotrag says the venting on them are good for your back and they are very well built. The straps are comfy too. Mine is over 3 years old and has been hammered. They wash good too.
