The Vecnum Moveloc is 200mm drop but doesn't crush your bits on return.

You're now discussing a different subject.

Pretty sure I am not, but let's leave that there.

How much did you used to fuss when lowering your saddle back in the dark ages?

Depended on what and how I was riding at the time. The way I approach riding has changed too which may have had an impact. I have gone from having fun and sessioning a lot of of stuff to looking for outright xc speed and back again.

Used to using one on fs bike, have a spare reverb, and a 456evo needed a 27.2 dropper, so just bought a 456evo2 to fit spare reverb, and i get too build up the new frame happy days

2) The fact that your saddle cannot drop as much as manually dropping it with a normal seat post. For hitting jumps and steep descents I like it properly out of the way. Then I like it quite high for climbing. No dropper I know gives me that flexibility

Enter the Rase Black Mamba. 9" of drop. That's 228.6mm.

FWIW, I think you're both right depending on your exact framing of the 'question'. Score draw, let's say.
