Looks like a 2008 Stumpjumper Comp . . . with all the hallmarks of a nicked bike
Item number: 160745463304

Sorry, can't do a link, as ampersands seem to break up the address

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160745463304

What hallmarks?
His description could be better (english and spelling), no doubt pushes the age of the bike up a few years, & pictures are abysmal.
If anything it kinda look like it could be a bargain for some-one, my nephew had his BMX for sale on eBay, looking at his advert it's like he not even bothered to try selling it.....
Seem too many ppl, expect to just sell stuff on eBay, but aren't willing to even try and spend a bit of time to do it. FFS, how long would it take to create an account on a photo hosting site & whack a load of picture of the item, then put the link on your auction.

Well, they say they bought it two years ago, but I'm fairly certain that's a 2008 Stumpjumper FSR Comp? Don't think it was ever over £1500 rrp either?

Plus there's no details, not even the size, and it specifies cash on collection. That, combined with the appalling English, does seem to suggest it's not entirely legitimate....

It was £1500, which is just what he says on the listing.

Badly written, but doesn't appear instantly suspicious to me.

Doesn't know anything about the bike that he apparently owns, doesn't even know that it is a Stumpjumper.

Next to no feedback, only 2 items purchased, both low value, one of which was a Hoodie!

Cash on collection only

I wouldn't touch it.

Its says cash on collection, however looking at his listing, you can also pay with paypal.

....and it specifies cash on collection

Pretty much how I would expect to buy a used bike ?

It's how I have bought the last four anyway.

And my last five or six cars.

why would you pay via PP if you were collecting in person. it just doesn't make sense to do that!

Looks ok to me, i think he bought it second hand (for less than he claimes). You will never be 100% sure when buying second / third hand.

I would buy it if it was closer.

You have to have that, requirement of eBay.

So you can pay via credit card, so you have protection, so you're not carrying a wad of cash to be knocked on the head and have stolen when you turn up. Seems reasonable enough to me.

What makes you think that 😕

Theres plenty of people out there that has a bike and knows nothing about them! At the end of the day anyone who buys a spez must not have much of an idea about bikes, all you ever see is them bouncing around trail centre carparks with the rider looking confused, or stuck to the top of a bmw 316 roof. No ofense if you have 1.
Cash on collection, well atleast he must have half a braincell.......... who in the right mind wants to pay paypal fees!?
Yeh shite advert butthats upto him, i always always do a fantastic advert for anything i sell, people can only go by your advert when bidding, i think its so important.
Wasn't your feedback once 2!?
