[#235298]

Salvaged an old Raleigh Pioneer frame recently as my GF wants me to build her a town bike, but she wants it in pink (complete with a pink bell and tassles on the handlebars!)

What's the best way to go about doing a DIY respray - method/types of paint etc as I haven't got a clue?!

Cheers

Try plasticote. Or get down to the local powdercoaters and pay around £40 for a better job than you could do.

There is a powdercoaters on Mansfield road nr Chester Green, or my recommendation would be

Millennium Coatings
Peasehill Road
Ripley
Derbyshire
01773 513221

only 20 mins out of Derby and top chaps

I did my town bike by stripping with nitromors and using Wickes "direct to metal" paint (same as Hammerite really but a bit cheaper). Not sure if you can get it in pink though!

Cheers Steve, might see how much the powdercoaters would charge and maybe get them to do it (then tell the missus it was all my own work to impress her and reap the rewards!)
