Having suffered a few, I can't see how it would work if it doesn't limit your range of movement.
Might help after an injury more as a reminder of the dodgy shoulder, but as above really.
Probably need to speak to a physio though.
I was sceptical. I have one and thought it wouldn't help much but it does give a suprising amount of support and pain relief. It does stop the shoulder dropping. You can have it for £20 if you like.
What size is it, I may well be interested.

Will look when home but I'm a 44 chest. Quite adjustable as my mate tried it on who is a medium build before he bought one and he bought the same size, but will check exact size tonight.
I've been wondering about wearing something. Too many over the handlebar moments over the past couple of years have led to my left shoulder sublaxing (?) - half pops out of joint, big pain and then slips back in again. Got to the stage a month ago when it would do it getting dressed and any sudden forward moment as in pushing the bike forward on drops . In the main though, riding is fine until I fall off..............then it takes about 5 minutes before I can raise the arm unaided and a few more before I'm blasting down the track again.
Physio has been promised but not been arranged via the doctors as of yet.
Oh it's a large. A bit less new than I thought so £15 if you want it.
if its not in a bad way, and still works. Ill take it. mail me on
