hi guys,

just wondered if the rotor appears to be wobbling inside the caliper does this mean the rotor is warped? its isnt my wheel as i have just had that looked at and tightened so there is no play there?

its just i put new pads in last night and it was a bugger to align perfectly as it on rotation it always caught slightly, then on closer inspection the actual rotor is slightly moving side to side? is it warped?? if so i am pretty novice so have no idea on how to true it, is it easier just to get a new rotor?

cheers in advance ๐Ÿ™‚

turn the bike upside down and look at where it hits the pads. Then use an adjustable spanner and bend it back by levering the edge of the rotor. Pretty straight forward

+1 for 59's method, take a little time over it and you'll get it straight, done it many times.

It can only be the rotor that's warped unless you've managed to bend the hub body ...... in which case I'd imagine you'd also be dead ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Follow 59's method and you'll be fine. Make sure you don't bend the very outer edge (say 3-5mm) of the rotor by ensuring the rotor is all the way into the jaws of the spanner.

Might sound obvious but check all your rotor bolts are done up tight before you go bending the rotor.
