Anyone here have experience of owning both Etap and Di2?
I’d be interested in your comparison- I’ve read the many comparison articles on the web but it would be good to hear from those who have actually owned both group sets.
Ive got ultegra di2 ( used eBay bargains etc ) on the road I use the most inc winter as it has guards.
My best bike is etap.
I far prefer the shifters on the etap and imo it’s better in almost every way apart from
Di2 shifts quicker . Has better battery life and can be cheaper.
For me both have been totally reliable so far , the ultegra di2 has just had winter number two and works fine still.
My etap has far less miles on it so far
if I had the money both my most used road bikes would be etap
a bit rambling maybe sorry
I should add so far at work we only see issues with di2 , battery drain mostly.
But etap bikes are few and far between compared to di2 through the workshop
